RED RIVER GORGE
DEVELOPER COOPERATIVE NOTIFICATION POLICY
Any developers bolting on RRGCC-owned properties are asked to review and sign a voluntary Memorandum of Understanding regarding best development practices for the Red River Gorge.
Any new route bolted on RRGCC land must be submitted to the land manager prior to publication to review for potential environmental impact and erosion.
MAPS, RULES & REQUIREMENTS PER PROPERTY
"Authorization is required prior to development of any new rock climbing, bouldering or rappelling areas and development of any climbing routes involving the permanent installation of new fixed anchors or new trail construction."
"Sport routes or traditional climbing are not permitted. Setting bolts is not permitted."
RED RIVER GORGE CLIMBERS' COALITION
Notification of the intent to add new bolts or routes must be provided to the land manager.
Any new bolts or routes require approval from the land manager.
GRAINING FORK NATURE PRESERVE (AKA ROADSIDE)
Any new bolts or routes require approval from the owner.
ASHLAND WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA
Bolting and route development is prohibited.
PRIVATE PROPERTY SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPRESS PERMISSION FROM THE LANDOWNER, DO NOT BOLT THERE.
